A 2-day Leadership Development Program in Miami-FL, designed by Briyah Institute to offer participants an immersive experience to help them nurture their ability to perceive transcontextual change, interconnectedness and opportunity for well-being and positive impact while interacting with experts in their fields and acquiring wisdom for decision-making in our fast-evolving complex world.

The term transcontextual was coined by Gregory Bateson in 1969 and amplified by Nora Bateson through The International Bateson Institute (IBI), which is a non-profit foundation for transcontextual research in ecology, economy, social change, health, education, and art.

According to Nora Bateson, it “refers to the ways in which multiple contexts come together to form complex systems. It allows for a concentration on the interdependency between contexts that give resilience to both living and non-living systems.”

According to ChatGPT, it “refers to the ability to think critically and analytically across different contexts or situations”, and “it involves the capacity to apply knowledge, concepts, and problem-solving skills from one domain to another, recognizing similarities and differences between them.”

At Briyah Institute we are inspired to adopt a transcontextual approach since this type of thinking enhances the ability of leaders to respond to crisis, as well as to adapt to and ultimately create new environments. It allows for better unstanding of complex issues by making connections between seemingly unrelated ideas.

This course is ideal for C-Suite Executives and Board Directors tasked to foster a healthy environment for their teams to flourish with coherence and relevance in the face of disruption. It also welcomes high potentials and individual contributors who are challenged to think critically and analytically across different contexts. This course is especially relevant to those embracing transformation while seeking to avoid distraction and to promote positive impact.

Participants will develop their leadership skills with the vision needed to address 21st century challenges and opportunities for self, for organizations and for the world at large.

The course takes place all day on February 9 and 10 and participants are expected to attend both days. Registration and networking are expected to start at 8:45 am and the program itself is expected to start at 9:30 am on both days. Breakfast and lunch will be served during the program on Friday and lectures and discussions are expected to end at 6:40 pm, when we have more opportunity for networking. Saturday Agenda TBD.

Please note that meals are included in the course on Friday, but accommodations are not included in the course fee. Participants are responsible for making plans for their own lodging during the course. The organization plans to  suggest nearby hotels with special rates upon request.

2. Eligibility for Refund Full refunds will be granted under the following conditions:

Cancellation made more than 60 days prior to the course start date will be possible discounting bank and PayPal fees and need to be discussed directly with the organization of the course.
Cancellation made within 60 days to the course start date due to unforeseen circumstances, such as serious illness or family emergency, are subject to verification and the participant may be granted a credit to participate in upcoming Briyah Institute courses, not a refund.

3. Late Cancellations No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less than 30 days before the start of the course. In the case of unforeseen circumstances, such as serious illness or family emergency, the case will be subject to verification and the participant may be granted a credit to participate in upcoming Briyah Institute courses, not a refund.

4. Refund Request Process To request a refund, participants must email [email protected] with proof of purchase and an explanation for the cancellation. Refund requests will be processed within 5 business days upon receipt.

5. Exceptions The refund policy does not apply in cases of non-attendance at the course without prior notice.
