Monica is an experienced CEO with over 30 years of experience advising global organizations on growth through government and investor relations innovation and ESG integration. She oversaw and led the development of the largest network of seafood and ocean investors and a renowned global incubator and accelerator program. She is a sought-after advisor at the C-suite or board level to multinational corporates, government leaders, and philanthropic foundations.
Monica has served as an active member of multiple boards leading committees on investor relations, government relations, ESG integration into growth plans, and innovation and incubation of new ventures. She has lived and worked on five continents and is known for her ability to govern and grow businesses quickly while retaining a strong focus on values and integrity.
Monica is a trusted advisor at the C-suite level to corporates such as Néstle Purina, Niman Ranch and Stanford Risk Authority, to foundations such as the David & Lucile Packard Foundation, AVINA Foundation, Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and to top level government leaders in NOAA Fisheries, the World Bank, and USAID. She has served on the boards of Aqua Spark, FishPeople Seafood, and Fresh Peaks Capital and lectured at Peking University (Beijing), Middebury Institute of International Studies, University of Miami, and the Fletcher School (Tufts). Monica was honored by the White House as a Champion of Change in 2016 and a World Changing Woman in 2019.
Monica holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a B.Sc. in Biology from Stanford University. She is fluent in English and Spanish and conversant in French. She holds dual citizenship (France and USA) as well as permanent residency in New Zealand. She currently divides her time between Miami, Florida and Barcelona, Spain.
