Silvia Kang possesses over a decade of experience working with federal, state and municipal governments developing political strategies focused on expanding business relations between the public and private sector. Most recently, she served as the Director of Institutional and Government Relations for the largest business process outsourcing (BPO) provider in Latin America, Atento, where she was responsible for addressing federal legislative and regulatory issues such as labor reform, tax reform and outsourcing legislation. Through her role, Silvia also led the team responsible for engaging municipal and state governments in discussions about the expansion of Atento’s footprint throughout Brazil, which involved topics ranging from community improvement programs sponsored by Atento to the negotiation of corporate incentives and benefits for job creation. Prior to Atento, Silvia represented the City of São Paulo’s Office of International Relations and served as a Trade Advisor on behalf of Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs while based in Atlanta, Georgia. Silvia holds a BA in International Affairs and French from Lafayette College, in addition to a graduate degree in Economic Diplomacy from the State University of Campinas, a master’s degree in Textile Technology from North Carolina State University and a specialization in Political Science from the Sorbonne in Paris, France.
